Heliskiing in Abisko, Freeride/Freetouring in Riksgränsen, Bjökliden, Narvik and Freetouring in the Lyngen Alps: three unforgettable freeride adventures in one week. Northern Sweden and Norway are still in deep winter in April, th eideal time for this adventure. The Abisko Mountain Lodge, our base for the Heliski, Freeride and Freetouring days in Schweden is located 100 kms West of Kiruna. The Heliski area is between Abisko Riksgränsen and Kebnekaise – Sweden’s highest mountain. Björkliden and Riksgränsen offer many freeriding options. In the Lyngen Alps we will stay directly on the ocean in a classic Norwegian holiday cottage in Nord-Lenangen. With our cars or boats we start round trips through the Lyngen-Alps and the region of Troms, on glaciers and steep runs covered in Artic powder or spring snow. Breath-taking views down to the ocean, steep runs and one-of-a-kind landscape await us. The atmosphere, nature, and light make this an unforgettable ski adventure.
The team from Arctic Heli Guides has been established for 20 years in the business of heliskiing, freeriding and ski touring. This tour is organized and guided by Chris Semmel, director of avalanche training for the German Mountain Guide Association. He places strong focus on safety and enjoyment.
